I am Jim Greenwald 57 years of age and Principal at Granite City HS. I’m a former professional baseball player with the Twins and Phillies, and like many middle aged guys fell into the trap of getting lazy and eating unhealthy. I ballooned up to 277 lbs and in March of 2008 began working out with Chris Janek. I have trained with him twice a week since then regularly for 8 solid months. With his guidance and advice in my exercise and diet way of life, I now weigh 200 solid pounds and have never been in better shape in my life. Chris combines a total body workout emphasizing strength training, flexibility, and cardiovascular which is the best I’ve ever been associated with. I highly recommend his theory and practice to anyone who is seeking a better life. I have never felt better and my energy level, feeling of confidence and well being is at its all time best. My name is Ashley Roberts. I began working out with Chris at Tanks Training Facility May of 2009. Since then, I have improved my overall health. For years, I have been an athlete and worked out religiously, but with Chris, I have learned new exercises that have pushed me past what I was able to do while playing soccer in college. Before, I had very little upper body strength. Now, I can lift more weight and it shows on the soccer field. I still play and I can see a huge difference in my strength and speed. After working out at this magnitude three times a week for five month, I feel healthy and great about myself.

Hi,
My name is Ren Herzog. I am currently a junior college soccer player. I have been working with Chris Janek since January. I had torn my ACL in August and after surgery, my coach said that Chris would be great for rehab and to build strength and speed. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I worked with Chris for around 7 months, 2-3 times a week rehabbing my knee, and working on agility and strength. In those 7 months, I gained 14 pounds of muscle, successfull rehabbed my knee, strengthened my core, and increased my endurance and speed. I knocked 26 seconds off my fastest mile time. My 40 time is faster than it has ever been. And remember this is all after having total ACL reconstruction surgery. I came back into this season after having a 2 whole years off, and after only scoring 3 goals and 7 assists my freshman year, put away 15 goals and had 8 assists this year. I led the team and was ranked in the top 20 players in the nation in scoring. I have been offered a verbal full ride to a 4 year university starting in the fall of 2010 and I definitely couldn't have accomplished that without Chris.
Thanks,
Ren Herzog |

First let me introduce myself, I am Eve Hotson. I am 66 years of age and my motto is to be the best that I can be at the age that I am. I have always tried to have a positive attitude as I have experienced a healing in allowing my self to stay up spiritually. I was diagnosed with breast cancer twenty seven years ago. I think that was the time in my life that I realized that I had to take my physical self more seriously. My gym memberships with the local clubs helped gear me physically more fit but always felt that I needed that extra nudge to help me over the hump. I think anyone who works out can relate to that. I heard of Chris Janek through my chiropractor, Dr. Charlie. I met him one day in his office and was invited to attend his fitness group sessions. I attended and knew it was something I needed to experience.
Six months later I can attest that age doesn’t make a difference in achieving definition. I am more fit physically then I have ever been in my life. Knowing that I am cancer free and working to keep myself eating right and attending group sessions at Tanks Training Facility brings a brighter future for me. I recommend TTF to anyone who wants to improve their agility, core performance and definition. What can I say about Chris Janek, he is patient, courteous, respectful and very knowledgeable and he brings it on.

I started training with Chris prior to my Junior high school wrestling season. I went from a state qualifier my sophomore year to taking 3rd in state my junior year. After my second year of pre, during and post season training with Chris my athletic and workout skills were seen by division one college level coaches and I received a wrestling scholarship to Northern Illinois University. The guidance I received with Chris helped prepare me physically and mentally for not only my high school career, but still in my collegiate wrestling seasons. The intense training I received from such a knowledgeable coach helped gear me into the student-athlete I am today.

If you want a total body workout that is good for the mind, body and spirit you will find it at Tank's. I have been able to get into a shape and energy level that I have not felt since highschool or college. It's hard to do on your own and you need someone there to push you and encourage you to lift that extra weight or finish the final sprint. That all comes with a knowledgeable athletic trainer. Chris knows what he is doing and wants to share his expertise to help you improve yourself. Hands down the best workout you can do. Any level, any age, you will surprise yourself.

Tanks training facility has helped out so much over the past four years. I started training with Chris around my junior year in high school and I've loved it ever since. Tanks has helped me with my speed, footwork, endurance, strength, and many other things. Chris has so many different types of workouts, different drills, and knows the right things to do every time I workout and is always changing it up to add new elements. I never question Chris and I always do what he says because I know he will put me through the best workout and challenge me to my fullest potential. Starting to train at tanks was the best decision I made for my soccer career and it is the reason why I have been so successful in my career. Tessa Gavilsky

By combining his outstanding knowledge of the concepts and techniques associated with a positive physical-fitness lifestyle with his good-natured enthusiasm, Chris consistently motivated me to work harder with every minute that I spent in the gym. With a quick piece of advice here and the tactful correction of an error there, I quickly found myself in the best shape of my life, and I am very confident that anyone who works with Chris will come away from their experience both stronger and happier.
